Get the App: Install Disability Wiki on Your Device

You can install this wiki on your phone, tablet, or computer today. It opens from your home screen like any other app, and the crisis pages work without a signal — useful in a waiting room with no reception, on a bus, or when your data runs out.

Installing is free. It does not create an account, and it does not ask for your name, email, or phone number.

Install it now

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

1. Open disabilitywiki.org in Safari.
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap Add.

Android (Chrome)

1. Open disabilitywiki.org in Chrome.
2. Tap the menu button (three dots, top right).
3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
4. Tap Install.

Computer (Chrome or Edge)

1. Open disabilitywiki.org.
2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a screen with a down arrow).
3. Click it, then click Install.

If you do not see the option, your browser may not support installing. The site still works normally in any browser — installing is a convenience, not a requirement.

What works offline

Once installed, these work with no connection:

• All crisis pages, including hotline numbers
• The Spanish crisis pages
• Pages you have already visited

Everything else needs a connection. When you are online, the app always fetches the current version of a page first — so a hotline number that has changed will never be served to you stale.

A native app is in progress

We are building a native iOS app that bundles the whole wiki, so it works from the moment you open it the first time — no connection needed even for the first load.

It is not available yet. There is no release date, and we will not promise one we are not sure of. When it is ready, this page will say so.

There is no Android app yet either.

Questions

• Does it cost anything? No. There is no paid version and no ads.
• Does it track me? No. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking, in the app or on the website. The app sends nothing at all. On the website, the only thing that sends anything is the “Was this page helpful?” question at the bottom of most pages — it adds one to a count for that page and records no IP, cookie, ID, or time. Full detail.
• Will it use a lot of storage? No. The offline crisis pages are text and take up very little space.
• How do I remove it? Delete it like any other app — press and hold the icon, then choose Remove or Uninstall.
